Macabre CirQuiTri (2 min. 2018) Video projections by Lester Alfonso on aerial silk performers Jennifer (Opal) Elchuk and Tegan Moss with music by Jared Bremner (aquapher.)
Peterborough does Halloween parties really well, I think. Dreams of the Underground from 2018 was another “classic.” The theme was the “underworld” and we quickly put together a performance for the event. This is lightweight compared our previous works Revolutions and Chrysalis but it was good to experiment and stretch ourselves and we did our best to present a performance in an open space where the audience mingled with the performers at the Peterborough Academy for Circus arts studio.
There was a team of VJs that included me, Fox Jones, Troy Armstrong, and Angel Hamilton. In addition, Tegan Moss, Opal Elchuk, Jared Bremner and I had a little collaborative reunion for the occasion with the performance of something we later dubbed Macabre CirQuiTri, of which I am uploading a couple of iPhone artifacts spliced together here today for Day 77 of the Archive Upload Project.
Tegan, who also goes by the name Miss Moss, helmed the DJ booth as the last act of the night. We created the moon projections in the background. Her entire stellar set is posted here on Mixcloud. Enjoy!
More soon! Stay tuned! —LA
